Dr. R. Sharmila is Professor and Director i/c at Sakthi Institute of Information and Management Studies (SIIMS), Pollachi. She has 20+ years of experience in academics and one year experience in Service Industry. She has completed her Ph.D in Management in the area of Finance from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. To her credit, she is also qualified with UGC National Eligibility Test in the year 2007. She has published papers more than 20 papers in national and International Journals. She has also presented many papers in International and National conferences and organized many seminars, workshops and conferences. Her areas of interest include Security Analysis and Portfolio Management, Merchant Banking and Financial Services, Derivatives and Risk Management, Data Analysis and Business Modeling and Strategic Management.  She plays a major role in administrative responsibilities at SIIMS. She is actively involved in accreditation like NAAC, NIRF etc. She is a member of Governing Council and Academic Advisory Council at SIIMS.
